Solid Body Moisturising Bars

Solid Body Moisturising Bars

A hydrating all over body moisturiser without the guilt of plastic waste, YES please! If you're like me, you've struggled to find a skincare product that's not only good for your skin but also good for the environment. But fret no more! My recipe uses wholesome ingredients like fractionated coconut oil, shea butter, beeswax, and is scented with essential oils for an aromatic experience.

And the best bit you only need 3 ingredients and they're easy to make in just a few simple steps.

Ingredients

50g Fractionated Coconut Oil

50g Shea Butter

25g Beeswax

20 Drops of Essential Oil (optional)

How to make

Simply melt the ingredients (excluding essential oils) together in your thermomix or using the double boiler method, allow to cool slightly then add your essentials oils. Pour into moulds, and let them set in the freezer. You can even customize the size and store them in small jars for on-the-go hydration.

To use

When you're ready to use, just rub the bar onto your skin for a hydration boost that will leave your skin feeling smooth and supple.

Pro-Tip One: Keep an eye on the weather ☀️❄️🌦️

Remember, these little beauties can change with the weather! In cooler months, they may firm up a bit, while in warmer weather, they might get a little softer. Just a heads-up so you can adjust your storage strategy and keep your bars in perfect condition all year round!

Pro-Tip Two: Storage strategy

I love using petite moulds and storing my Solid Moisturising Bars in our cute 20g glass jars. Why? Because they're perfect for storing in my handbag without adding any bulk. Plus, the airtight jar helps keep the bar fresh and ready to use whenever I need a hydration boost on the go.

Pro-Tip Three: Consider incorporating essential oils that boasts skin-loving properties

As for the essential oils, I personally adore lavender, tea tree, frankincense, and geranium. They add a delightful aroma and bring their own unique skincare benefits to the mix. It's a win-win for your skin and senses! So, grab those tiny moulds and jars, and get creating!
